Half-Price Heroes Book 1: The King’s Biscuits
King Reggie’s second helping, stolen?!
In a world of Corporate Food Gods and famed Buttersmiths, the disgraced ex-captain of the Lionsguard, Sir Bullstein, joins forces with manipulative bard One-Eyed Beverly on a morally gray job for coin. Their mission? To slay the absolute moron that disrupted famished and wrathful King Reggie’s breakfast.
Instead of earning easy jimmynickels, the party uncovers a deeper, more sinister, and less trivial danger to the flourishing land of Jimmyville... one they are not at all suited to deal with. Can Bullstein and his band of dysfunctional rejects take down a self-proclaimed genius and his criminal network?

Literary Influences
Half-Price Heroes: The King’s Biscuits originated in November 2023 and will release on the Amazon Marketplace in Q3 of 2025. An audiobook version, featuring professional voice actor Rob Jones, is due in Q1 2026.
The series is heavily influenced by medieval era literature, the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, the Dark Profit Saga by J. Zachary Pike, the comedic antics of Monty Python, and William Golding’s The Princess Bride.
A New Saga Begins
Half-Price Heroes: The King’s Biscuits is the first book in a series of what will be five books. Unlike many fantasy series, which focus on the perspective of one main character, Half-Price Heroes will feature a different protagonist from the crew in each book.
The second book, tentatively titled Half-Price Heroes: The Glaze of Ages, will be told from One-Eyed Beverly’s perspective, while Sir Bullstein will remain a powerful support protagonist. The books following the second will feature the perspectives of the other two characters in the party. The fifth book’s protagonist will remain a closely-guarded mystery, until the series reaches that point.
Flavorful Characters, Hearty World Lore
Two of the most notable aspects of Half-Price Heroes are the depth of the characters and the vibrancy of the surrounding world. The satirical and food-oriented world is not only comedic, but full of potential in its own right. Honorable Sir Bullstein is partnered and contrasted by a strong female character—the opportunistic trickster Beverly the One-Eyed. With the addition of a socially unaware wizard and an overly empathetic goblin, hilarious mishaps abound.
